Best Kids' Birthday Party Venues in Hong Kong â Compared by Price and Vibe
Hong Kong parents spend an average of $4,000â8,000 HKD on a child's birthday party. That's a lot of pressure to get it right. The venue is the single biggest decision â it determines the guest list size, the entertainment, and whether parents stay or drop off.
We visited and compared 10 kids' birthday venues across Hong Kong to help you choose.
Budget-Friendly (Under $3,000 HKD)
1. Indoor Playground Party Rooms
Best for: Ages 2â8 | Price: $1,500â3,000 HKD (2 hours) | Includes: Private room + play area access
Places like Playright Park, The Big Apple, and Bouncetopia offer party packages where kids get 1 hour in the play area + 1 hour in a private room for cake and presents. You bring your own food and decorations.
Parent verdict: Best value for younger kids. The kids are already entertained by the play equipment â you just need cake and goodie bags. Book 8+ weeks in advance for weekend slots.
Mid-Range ($3,000â6,000 HKD)
2. Soft Play & Food Combo
Best for: Ages 3â10 | Price: $3,500â5,500 HKD (2.5 hours) | Includes: Soft play, party host, basic food
Ryze Hong Kong (Quarry Bay) and ZipZone (Kowloon Bay) offer the best packages in this range. Ryze's trampoline party includes a dedicated coach who leads trampoline games for 45 minutes, then a party room for 45 minutes. ZipZone's ninja warrior party has obstacle course races.
Parent verdict: Ryze is the best pick for high-energy groups (max 15 kids). The party host keeps everything running so you can actually talk to other parents. Food is basic pizza + juice â order extra if you have hungry kids.
3. Art & Craft Party
Best for: Ages 4â10 | Price: $3,000â5,000 HKD (2 hours) | Includes: Art materials, instructor, take-home artwork
Bimbo Space (Causeway Bay), Paintworks (Sheung Wan), and The Artful Parent (Kennedy Town) offer art-themed parties where kids paint canvases, make pottery, or create slime. The mess stays at the venue.
Parent verdict: Surprisingly popular with both boys and girls. Perfect for quieter kids who don't enjoy chaotic play venues. The take-home artwork doubles as the goodie bag â clever.
Premium ($6,000â12,000 HKD)
4. Full-Service Party Venue
Best for: Ages 1â12 | Price: $6,000â10,000 HKD (3 hours) | Includes: All food, decorations, entertainment, party host, goodie bags
KidzTech (Cyberport), Campfire (Wong Chuk Hang), and The Playground (Kennedy Town) offer turnkey parties. KidzTech's robotics party has kids build and race simple robots. Campfire offers themed parties (princess, pirate, space, jungle) with matching decorations. The Playground has the best food â proper catering, not just pizza.
Parent verdict: Worth the premium if you have zero time to plan. Show up with the cake, everything else is handled. KidzTech's robot party was a massive hit with our 7-year-old.
Ultra-Premium ($12,000+ HKD)
5. Venue Buyout
Best for: All ages | Price: $12,000â25,000 HKD (3â4 hours) | Includes: Entire venue, custom catering, professional entertainer
KidZania and Bouncetopia offer after-hours buyouts. KidZania's birthday package includes a 'city takeover' where the birthday kid becomes mayor for the day. Bouncetopia's late-night buyout gives your group the entire trampoline park to themselves.
Parent verdict: Unforgettable, but only makes sense for milestone birthdays (1st, 5th, 10th). Most practical for parties with 20+ kids.
Quick Decision Guide
Under 3 years old: Soft play party at The Big Apple (toddler-friendly, padded, small space)
4â6 years old: Art party at Bimbo Space or soft play at Ryze (high engagement, low chaos)
7â10 years old: Robot party at KidzTech or trampoline party at ZipZone (active, competitive fun)
10+ years old: Escape room or bowling party (check out Lost HK or Bowling Green)
Tight budget: Indoor playground party room + DIY decorations + Costco cake. Total under $2,000 HKD.
Don't want to lift a finger: Full-service at Campfire or KidzTech. Worth every dollar.
